Maintenance

All CCM designations will be valid for a period of five (5) years.

Except for those with Retired membership status, CCM's are required to earn at least 120 credits during the 5-year period following their certification (or most recent recertification) to maintain their CCM designation. The following are the credit requirements to maintain the CCM designation:

Education Credits 60 credits (a minimum of 30 must be National Education)
Other Credits 60 credits (Education or Association Activity)

Total Credits

120

At least 90 of the 120 credits must be credits from CSCM endorsed activities (CMI courses, BMI courses, Branch or Allied Education and Association activities).

Individuals with their CCM designation meeting these requirements will be recertified for another five-year period. Maintenance will be monitored by the CSCM National Office.

A one-year extension may be granted in each 5-year maintenance period to those CCM's not meeting the requirements in the allotted time frame.  However these extensions are not cumulative, ie the next 5 year period will commence at the time of the original expiry date.  An extension beyond one year will not be granted except at the discretion of the CSCM Board of Directors in the event of exceptionally extenuating circumstances.

Additional designations are available beyond the CCM:

  • Honour Society
  • Certified Chief Executive (CCE)
  • Master Club Manager (MCM
