Overview Of Member Benefits

As a network of individuals in the club management profession, membership in the Canadian Society of Club Managers is an investment in your career. We offer benefits to our members that provide excellent opportunities for networking with other industry professionals, professional development opportunities unique to the club management industry, publications specific to our members and the Society, a resource library of documents that can help members better structure their own clubs. In addition to these national programs, our 11 Branches covering all provinces in Canada hold regional meetings and education sessions throughout the year. All of these member benefirs can help keep members abreast of the trends and changes in the Canadian club industry.

Professional Development

Seminars are available through our annual National Conference as well as Regional Seminars, and focus around the growing CCM certification designation that is quickly becoming the standard of excellence in club management. CSCM's vision for the future is to "have 85% of our members attain professional accreditation and certification, and have 98% of clubs hiring only CSCM certified managers". Membership in CSCM provides many opportunities for you to work towards achieving this important designation.

Networking

Opportunities through the CSCM include our annual printed member Roster as well as our on-line member directory, and an on-line discussion forum where members can ask industry specific questions to other members.

Publications

Through our publications, Club Manager Quarterly as well as the distribution of the CMAA's Club Management Magazine, our members have access to industry and association news specifically of benefit to club managers and staff.

Resource Library

Our comprehensive resource library allows members to download and view documents relating specifically to improving their direct role as club managers, with information centering around the certification program's nine competencies. Materials are available on Club governance, marketing, human resources, Finance, Facilities Management and more.
